How Magnus and Puck perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Magnus and Puck win 45.56% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 12,749 matches.
Picking a hero to follow up on Reverse Polarity is crucial, but Puck often falls short. The main issue is a mismatch in how they want to fight. Puck’s damage is spread out and relies on mobility, while Magnus sets up for a single, concentrated burst that Puck simply can’t provide. Using Dream Coil on targets already caught in Reverse Polarity is also redundant and wastes a major cooldown. Furthermore, a huge part of Magnus's value comes from Empower, which does nothing for a spell-focused hero like Puck. They both want to control the tempo with their own initiations, leading to awkward and disconnected teamfights.
