Magnus + Ringmaster

Why this works

Trying to set up the perfect teamfight gets messy with this pair. Both Magnus and Ringmaster want to be the one to group and control enemies, but their toolkits actively work against each other. A great Reverse Polarity can be ruined when Ringmaster's abilities pull a key target in a different direction at the wrong moment. Likewise, Magnus can easily Skewer an enemy out of one of Ringmaster's traps, wasting the setup. They are both trying to accomplish the same goal of forced movement, but without perfect timing, they end up undoing each other's work.

This leads to awkward, uncoordinated fights where kills slip away. The Magnus is looking for his big ultimate, but the battlefield keeps shifting from Ringmaster's spells. Instead of a clean initiation, you get a chaotic scramble that the enemy can often turn around. To salvage this, one hero has to completely yield initiation to the other, playing reactively and holding their spells. Usually, though, both try to do their job, step on each other's toes, and give the opponent an opening to capitalize on the confusion.
