How Magnus and Shadow Demon perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Magnus and Shadow Demon win 45.26% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 9,197 matches.
Landing the perfect Reverse Polarity often feels wasted when an allied Shadow Demon saves the enemy carry with Disruption. This core conflict defines the pairing. Magnus needs to clump enemies together for his team to burst down, but Shadow Demon's most reliable tool makes the highest-priority target completely invulnerable. The rest of their kits fail to make up for this fundamental disagreement. Empower provides little benefit to a support Shadow Demon, and both heroes end up trying to control the same targets using methods that cancel each other out. Instead of a clean setup, you get a chaotic fight where key abilities are actively nullified by a teammate.
