Mars + Ursa

Why this works

Picking both Mars and Ursa often leaves your draft feeling greedy and conflicted. Their roles and game plans tend to clash. Mars wants to control a wide area with Arena of Blood, setting up a kill zone for his team. The problem is that Ursa needs to be directly on top of a single enemy to build up Fury Swipes. Inside the Arena, targets can still move freely, forcing Ursa to chase them around while his Overpower window closes. It’s an anti-synergy where the ultimate from one hero makes it harder for the other to do his job effectively.

This conflict plays out awkwardly in teamfights. Mars might land a perfect Arena, but the team lacks the sustained, ranged damage to punish the trapped enemies. Ursa is forced to run into the fray alone, where he can be easily kited, disabled, or bursted down. Both heroes also want to farm the same areas of the map to get their Blink Daggers and other core items, slowing down each other's timings. The enemy team can exploit this by forcing fights before you're ready or by simply having enough mobility to render the Arena useless for Ursa.
