Medusa + Pangolier

Why this works

Controlling teamfights can feel a bit conflicted with this duo. Pangolier wants to dictate the fight's tempo and positioning with Rolling Thunder, but the chaos and knockback he creates doesn't always help Medusa. She prefers a more stable front-to-back fight where she can stay safe and maximize Split Shot damage on grouped enemies. While a big Rolling Thunder can set up stuns, it can also scatter opponents, making it awkward to land a multi-hero Stone Gaze or keep priority targets consistently in range. The two heroes want to shape the battlefield in fundamentally different ways.

The core issue often comes down to timing and map resources. Pangolier hits a power spike in the mid-game and wants to force action, creating space by being a nuisance. This is a period where Medusa is almost entirely focused on farming to get her key items online. This can split the team's objectives. Either Pangolier plays too aggressively for his team to back him up, or the game is slowed down to Medusa's pace, which doesn't play to his strengths. They both demand a lot of farm, and their separate game plans can leave the map feeling too small until they're both fully equipped.
