Monkey King + Night Stalker

Why this works

Playing in the trees is core to Monkey King's game, but Night Stalker's ultimate makes that a real problem. Darkness cuts vision so severely that finding the next tree for Tree Dance becomes a guess, especially during a chaotic fight or escape. This often leaves Monkey King stranded on the ground and vulnerable, unable to use his signature mobility to scout, reposition, or set up a good Wukong's Command. The very tool Night Stalker uses to enable his own ganks actively disables a key part of his ally's kit.

This mechanical clash extends to their overall game plan. Both heroes want to be the primary aggressor, hunting for pickoffs in the mid-game, but they don't set each other up very well. Night Stalker can find a target and silence it with Crippling Fear, but that doesn't hold them in place for Monkey King to reliably build Jingu Mastery stacks. They end up feeling like two separate hunters on the same map, not a coordinated pair. If they get a good start it can seem fine, but more often they're competing for the same space and targets without directly helping one another succeed.
