Monkey King + Phantom Assassin

Why this works

Relying on two purely physical damage cores creates a straightforward problem for your team. Both Monkey King and Phantom Assassin need to connect attacks to be effective, but their shared damage type means the enemy team's item choices become very simple. A single player buying a Ghost Scepter or the whole team stacking armor is effective against both of your main threats. It makes your offensive plan one-dimensional, and even a well-placed Wukong's Command can be nullified by basic defensive items that counter Phantom Assassin's burst at the same time.

The draft also creates a difficult game on the map. Both heroes are greedy and need a lot of farm to hit their timings, forcing them to compete for resources. This often leaves one hero underfarmed and unable to contribute effectively. The lineup usually lacks the magical burst or heavy control needed to enable two physical carries. Without that support, a disarm from a Heaven's Halberd or a timely Force Staff can shut down a gank attempt from either Monkey King or Phantom Assassin, leaving them exposed and unable to finish the kill.
