Monkey King + Silencer

Why this works

Stacking Global Silence on top of Wukong's Command seems like a foolproof plan, but in practice, both abilities often serve the same purpose of controlling a chaotic fight. This makes using them together feel redundant and wasteful for such long cooldowns. Outside of that one interaction, the heroes don't enable each other effectively. Monkey King needs lockdown to guarantee he can build Jingu Mastery stacks and land his stun, but Silencer's kit primarily prevents enemies from casting spells, not from simply walking out of the circle or fighting back with attacks.

This lack of synergy often leaves Monkey King to fend for himself when trying to find an opening, as Silencer lacks the stuns or slows needed to set up kills. While the double-ultimate combo can occasionally win a fight, it's an expensive investment that leaves both heroes with few options for a long time afterward. Enemies can bait out one ultimate and then force a fight while the other hero is left without their strongest spell, exploiting the pair's disconnected playstyles to pick them apart.
