Monkey King + Viper

Why this works

Struggling for farm and objectives often comes from having two cores who need the same thing at the same time. Monkey King thrives when he gets hard lockdown to hold enemies inside Wukong's Command and build his Jingu Mastery stacks. Viper offers a very strong slow with Viper Strike, but it’s single-target and doesn’t provide the wide area control Monkey King needs to dominate a fight. Both heroes want to be the primary damage dealer, but neither is particularly good at creating the ideal situation for the other.

This dynamic leads to awkward team compositions and fights. Viper wants to stand in the back, protected by a tanky frontline, so he can safely apply his poison. Monkey King isn't that tank; he's a diver who needs his own setup to go in. This often leaves the team without a real initiator, forcing the supports to compensate. Enemies can exploit this by simply walking past the slowed Viper Strike target to collapse on Viper himself, or by turning on Monkey King the moment he commits without proper follow-up.
