How Muerta and Phantom Lancer perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Muerta and Phantom Lancer win 49.58% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 7,624 matches.
Facing down a wall of illusions while a Pierce the Veil is active can feel threatening, but the two heroes don't always align on their goals. Phantom Lancer creates chaos and forces enemies to deal with his swarm, while Muerta wants to sit back and unload her damage onto a single, high-value target. That same chaos from illusions can make it difficult for Muerta to keep her focus, as her target gets lost in the crowd or repositions. While a well-placed Calling can help Phantom Lancer stick to his prey, he offers little to help Muerta survive if she gets jumped. They both function as greedy damage dealers, often competing for farm more than actively setting each other up for success.

These rows use the last 30 days of quality-filtered ranked matches, all patches in that span combined — a wider window than the patch-scoped count above, so the per-rank match totals can exceed it.
