Muerta + Razor

Why this works

Thinking that Razor can hold a target with Static Link for Muerta to unload on seems logical, but it rarely plays out that way. The hero being drained by Razor is going to do everything possible to break that tether and get away from him, which often makes them a harder target for Muerta to hit. Both heroes want to be the primary damage threat in a fight, but neither offers the kind of hard, reliable lockdown that lets the other one fully commit. Muerta’s fear is a form of control, but it scatters enemies, which again can be awkward for a hero like Razor trying to maintain his link.

This leaves the draft feeling a bit greedy and lacking a clear setup. As the game goes on, both Razor and Muerta require significant farm to come online as right-clickers. In teamfights, you might find that without a dedicated initiator holding key targets in place, their combined damage gets split inefficiently. One hero might be kited while the other gets focused down. The pairing isn't actively detrimental, but they don't solve each other's problems and compete for a similar role, making fights less clean than you'd like.
