Muerta + Zeus

Why this works

Relying on two cores who both peak with magic damage can make the game harder than it needs to be. When Muerta activates Pierce the Veil, her entire damage output becomes magical. This lines up perfectly with the constant magical nukes coming from Zeus. While this sounds powerful, it allows the enemy team to itemize very efficiently against both of you. A single Pipe of Insight, Glimmer Cape, or an early Black King Bar on a key target can dramatically reduce the threat from your team's two biggest damage dealers, forcing you to fight into unfavorable trades.

The lack of reliable lockdown from this pair is also a problem. Muerta's fear from The Calling is slow and often easy to walk away from. Without a stun to hold targets in place, Zeus can struggle to land his full spell combo, and enemies can often survive the initial burst. Mobile heroes can simply disengage when Muerta uses her ultimate. For this duo to succeed, your team composition must provide the hard control that both Muerta and Zeus are missing, otherwise you'll find targets are always getting away with a sliver of health.
