Necrophos + Spectre

Why this works

Drafting a Spectre usually means accepting a weak laning phase, but pairing her with Necrophos changes that equation. Necrophos provides constant lane sustain with Death Pulse, letting Spectre farm much more safely than she normally could. His Heartstopper Aura also wears down opponents, making it harder for them to harass Spectre out of the lane. This setup essentially patches the biggest hole in Spectre's game plan, letting her reach her critical items and Haunt timing without falling disastrously behind. The two can even secure early kills if an enemy overextends, turning a defensive lane into an offensive one.

Once Spectre has her ultimate, the game plan accelerates. A Haunt initiation creates chaos and isolates a target for Spectre to burn down. Necrophos can then follow up with Reaper's Scythe to secure the kill on that priority target, creating a global ganking threat. This forces the enemy team to play much more defensively and stick together, conceding map control. For the opponents, the only real counterplay is to crush the lane phase so hard that Spectre never recovers, because a mid-game Spectre backed by Necrophos's teamfight presence and execution power is incredibly difficult to stop.
