Night Stalker + Void Spirit

Why this works

Pairing two aggressive gankers together seems like an obvious win, but Night Stalker and Void Spirit often operate on different wavelengths. Night Stalker wants to find a target during the night, apply Crippling Fear, and run them down with physical attacks. Void Spirit prefers to zip in with Dissimilate, drop his magical burst damage, and get out. While the silence can help Void Spirit land his spells, their damage types don't amplify each other. They both want to kill heroes, but they don't always agree on how or when, and can sometimes feel like they're competing for the same space on the map.

The success of this duo often comes down to coordination during the first night cycle. A well-timed gank using Night Stalker's superior vision and control to set up Void Spirit can build an early lead. As the game progresses, however, their contributions can feel disconnected. Void Spirit will typically be looking for pickoffs on squishy supports in the back, while Night Stalker is often better suited to charging at a core and disabling them for the team. They tend to function as two independent threats rather than a cohesive unit, which works fine but doesn't create a special advantage.
