Night Stalker + Witch Doctor

Why this works

Hunting a hero silenced by Crippling Fear makes it incredibly easy for Witch Doctor to land a full Maledict and Paralyzing Cask combo. Night Stalker's entire goal is to get on a target and burst them down, and Maledict massively amplifies the damage from his follow-up attacks. During Dark Ascension, reduced enemy vision makes it even harder for them to react to the incoming gank or find the Witch Doctor channeling in the back. This combination provides both the lockdown and the damage amplification needed to guarantee kills on even durable heroes.

This duo hits a massive power spike as soon as the first night begins. Night Stalker can initiate from long range, forcing a fight on his terms, and Witch Doctor simply has to follow up on the silenced, slowed target. This forces opponents to play defensively and group up, but a well-placed Death Ward can punish that strategy. The pressure is relentless during nighttime, allowing the pair to control the tempo of the game and create space for their other cores to farm, often building a lead that is difficult to come back from.
