Pangolier + Phantom Lancer

Why this works

Trying to pin down the real Phantom Lancer is hard enough, but it gets much worse when the whole screen is shaking from a Rolling Thunder. Pangolier's ability to disrupt an entire team, even through spell immunity, creates the perfect chaotic environment for Phantom Lancer to build his army. As enemies are stunned and scattered, they can't effectively find the real hero or clear the illusions. Pangolier’s own damage and mobility split the focus that would normally be required to deal with a late-game PL.

This plan comes together in the mid-game once Pangolier can reliably start fights. He rolls in, and Phantom Lancer uses the long disruption to build a critical mass of illusions on key targets. The enemy team is forced to draft heavy area-of-effect control to have a chance, needing to either stun Pangolier before he can start or clear the illusions immediately after. If they lack the tools, their backline gets swarmed while the front line is being bounced around by the roll.
