Picking these two heroes together creates a specific timing challenge in fights. Winter Wyvern's best defensive tools often work directly against Phantom Assassin's game plan. Cold Embrace is a powerful save, but it makes the target immune to physical damage, preventing PA from contributing if she's trying to turn a gank. The bigger issue is Winter's Curse. The primary target of the ultimate cannot be damaged by Wyvern's allies, which means Phantom Assassin is completely unable to burst down the cursed hero. This can waste PA's crucial window of opportunity after she uses Phantom Strike to engage.

This tension plays out in most teamfights.
