Phantom Lancer + Ringmaster

Why this works

Getting pulled into a trap by Ringmaster is bad enough, but it becomes a real problem when a Phantom Lancer is nearby. Ringmaster's abilities can lock down and group up enemies, creating a perfect target area. This setup makes it incredibly easy for Phantom Lancer to close the distance and instantly generate a swarm of illusions. Heroes caught in the lockdown have nowhere to run and are quickly overwhelmed by the physical damage and mana drain from the illusion army, making it very difficult for single targets to survive the initiation.

This duo's game plan scales throughout the match. Early on, a good setup from Ringmaster can secure a kill that accelerates Phantom Lancer’s farm. Later, their goal is to find a key hero in teamfights and execute this combo. The opposing team has to adapt by playing spread out, forcing them into awkward positions to avoid getting caught and giving Phantom Lancer a free kill on a core. For the combo to work, their timing has to be right; a missed spell from Ringmaster or a late reaction from Phantom Lancer can leave them vulnerable.
