Primal Beast + Spectre

Why this works

Catching a hero with Pulverize creates an ideal kill scenario for Spectre. She can be farming anywhere on the map and instantly join the fight with Haunt. Primal Beast holds the target in place for the full duration, completely isolating them for guaranteed Desolate damage. It's a simple, effective combination: Primal Beast provides the long, BKB-piercing lockdown, and Spectre provides the global-range burst damage to secure the kill without having to be there beforehand.

This dynamic dictates the pace of the mid-game. Primal Beast can play aggressively, forcing rotations and creating space while Spectre safely accelerates her farm. The constant threat of a global gank forces opponents to play defensively and stick together, slowing down their own economy. To play around this, the enemy team needs excellent vision to avoid the initial pickoff or have defensive heroes who can immediately save whomever Primal Beast catches.
