How Puck and Timbersaw perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Puck and Timbersaw win 42.96% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 6,564 matches.
The theory is to use Puck's control to set up Timbersaw's damage, but they end up stepping on each other's toes. Both are mobile, space-creating cores who excel in the mid-game and want to skirt the edge of fights. This leaves your team without a solid frontline initiator and, more importantly, without a source of physical damage to deal with buildings or magic-immune enemies. Puck's Dream Coil is a leash, not a hard stun, so enemies can often still fight back or simply use a BKB to ignore the entire setup. This leaves Timbersaw trying to hit a moving, retaliating target, making their powerful combo feel much weaker in practice.

These rows use the last 30 days of quality-filtered ranked matches, all patches in that span combined — a wider window than the patch-scoped count above, so the per-rank match totals can exceed it.
