Pudge + Razor

Why this works

Picking these two heroes together commits your team to a specific, all-in pickoff strategy. On paper, the combination is straightforward: Pudge lands a Meat Hook and uses Dismember, creating a helpless, stationary target. This gives Razor the perfect window to apply Static Link and drain the hero's damage completely, guaranteeing a kill. The issue is that both heroes are single-target focused and lack reliable escapes. They provide a lot of lockdown and damage on one hero, but they don't cover each other's weaknesses and can struggle if the initial plan fails.

The success of the lane and the early teamfights hinges almost entirely on landing that Pudge combo. A successful hook on a core means Razor can run in with Eye of the Storm and turn the fight into a five-versus-four. The problem arises when the enemy team plays around this. They will position to make hooks difficult, have saves ready for the Dismember target, or simply counter-initiate on Razor. If the initial burst doesn't secure a kill, both heroes can be kited and focused down, leaving your team without a consistent frontline or teamfight plan.
