How Pudge and Tusk perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Pudge and Tusk win 47.66% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 44,502 matches.
Facing this pair on the map feels like you're always one step from getting jumped, but their initiations often collide. Pudge wants to pull a single hero out of position with Meat Hook, while Tusk wants to dive in on a target with Snowball. This can get messy, with a well-placed Ice Shards accidentally blocking the hook's path or a Dismember being wasted on a target Tusk is already punching. Both heroes are fighting for the same job — the single-target initiator. When their ganks fail or they can't find a pick-off, they both farm slowly and offer little to pressure towers, leaving their team with two similar heroes who don't scale well into the late game.

These rows use the last 30 days of quality-filtered ranked matches, all patches in that span combined — a wider window than the patch-scoped count above, so the per-rank match totals can exceed it.
