Pudge + Void Spirit

Why this works

Setting up a gank with these two can be surprisingly clumsy. Pudge wants to pull targets to himself with Meat Hook, while Void Spirit's Aether Remnant pulls them to a static point. Using both at once can lead to the enemy being yanked out of position for the other hero's follow-up. This overlap means their initiations aren't a clean one-two punch; instead, they can interfere with each other, forcing one player to hold their spell. For a duo that relies on securing early kills, this lack of reliable setup is a consistent issue.

Across the game, both heroes often want to play a similar role: a mobile, snowballing core who finds pickoffs. This can leave the team feeling a bit thin, potentially lacking a true frontliner or sustained teamfight damage. A successful gank often requires perfect timing, like Void Spirit zipping in to follow up on a Dismember. When that doesn't line up, Pudge and Void Spirit can feel like two solo artists playing on the same stage, making it harder to win against organized teams who can exploit their redundant game plan.
