Pudge + Zeus

Why this works

People often focus on Zeus using Lightning Bolt to give vision for a Hook, but that's not the core of it. The real synergy is about securing kills from anywhere. Pudge's whole game is about finding a pick with Hook and Dismember, but targets frequently escape with a sliver of health. That's when Zeus can press a single button, Thundergod's Wrath, and finish the kill from across the map. This turns a failed gank into a successful one without requiring either hero to be in the same place. It's a simple way to convert damage into an advantage.

This combo puts a lot of pressure on the map during the mid-game, as Pudge roams for picks. Any hero that gets caught is in danger of dying, even if they have an escape tool. The coordination is effective, but it relies entirely on Pudge hitting his spells first. If Pudge can't find an initiation, Zeus doesn't offer much to help him get started. The pair also has less impact against teams that group up early, since their strength is picking off isolated heroes, not winning a five-on-five brawl with sustained damage or control.
