Clockwerk + Razor

Why this works

Getting trapped inside Power Cogs with a linked Razor feels like a death sentence. The combination relies on Clockwerk providing the long-range initiation and lockdown, pinning an enemy in place. This gives Razor the perfect window to apply Static Link, draining away the target's damage while melting them with his own. The issue is often a mechanical one: the same Cogs that trap the enemy can also body-block Razor, preventing him from getting in range to apply his link. If the positioning isn't perfect from both heroes, the entire gank attempt can fall apart.

This duo excels at creating pickoffs and controlling the tempo during the mid-game, punishing any hero caught out of position. The strategy is to build a lead by repeatedly finding these isolated kills. The plan breaks down against teams that group up early and have multiple save items. A single Force Staff or Glimmer Cape on a support can easily nullify the initiation. In full five-on-five teamfights, their combined single-target focus becomes a liability, as they lack the area-of-effect damage or control to handle a coordinated enemy team, often trading one for one at best.
