Why this works

Finding a long-range initiation with Hookshot creates a target for Zeus to unload on. Clockwerk provides the lockdown and isolation with Cogs, preventing an escape while Zeus contributes heavy magical burst from a distance with Lightning Bolt. For a global finish, Thundergod's Wrath can secure a kill on a target who might otherwise survive Clockwerk's initial assault, turning a simple catch into a confirmed kill from anywhere on the map. This lets the pair punish any hero caught farming alone, creating pressure without having to fully commit multiple heroes to a gank.

The success of this combination depends heavily on Clockwerk finding the right target at the right time. If the hooked enemy is too durable or has teammates nearby, the burst from Zeus may not be enough, leaving Clockwerk stranded and vulnerable. As the game progresses, enemy teams learn to stay grouped and build defensive items against the magic damage.
