Riki + Spectre

Why this works

Farming a side lane alone against this pair is a death sentence. Spectre's Haunt reveals the entire enemy team, and her illusions can separate a lone target for Desolate damage. This is a perfect setup for Riki, who knows exactly where to find his victim. He can Blink Strike onto the same hero Spectre is focusing, and a follow-up Smoke Screen prevents them from using spells or items to escape. The combination of global initiation and localized burst is incredibly difficult to survive.

This constant threat forces the enemy team to huddle together from the mid-game onward, giving up huge portions of the map. Any attempt to split-push or farm a distant jungle is punished by a coordinated gank that requires no prior vision. The main counter-play is to group as five with a Gem of True Sight and push objectives, hoping to end the game before Spectre becomes a late-game monster. For this duo, the goal is simple: punish any separation, build a lead through pickoffs, and slowly choke the enemy out.
