Slardar’s Corrosive Haze makes one enemy extremely fragile, and Rubick’s Telekinesis can lift them in place long enough to guarantee a follow-up. This provides Slardar with the setup he needs to connect with Slithereen Crush, locking down a key hero for an easy kill before a fight starts.

This strategy is highly dependent on finding those isolated pickoffs. The duo’s impact can feel limited if the enemy team starts grouping as five early, since their strength lies in bursting a single hero, not fighting into a crowd. The success of this pairing often comes down to what ultimate Rubick can steal. A big area-of-effect spell can cover their weakness against grouped-up enemies, but without a good Spell Steal, they can struggle against lineups that are built to push together and protect their core heroes.
