Rubick + Treant Protector

Why this works

The global presence of Living Armor gives Rubick a much safer laning phase, letting him absorb harass that would otherwise force him to ferry out regen. This allows him to play more aggressively for runes and last hits. For pickoffs, Treant Protector's Overgrowth provides a wide, instant root that sets up a simple Telekinesis lift. The Leech Seed slow also makes it easier for Rubick to land his spells in messier fights. This combination offers great setup, but the follow-up damage has to come from Rubick's stolen spell or another ally.

This dynamic carries into teamfights, where the plan is often for Treant to initiate with his ultimate, giving Rubick a stationary target for a crucial lift or a big stolen spell. It's a reliable setup. However, the duo's impact is almost entirely dependent on what spell Rubick has access to. If the enemy team offers poor spells to steal, Treant’s lockdown doesn't accomplish much on its own. The pairing provides great control, but without inherent burst, it relies on others to secure the kill.
