Timbersaw + Skywrath Mage

Why this works

Putting Timbersaw and Skywrath Mage on the same team makes your draft predictable and easy to counter. Both heroes deal almost entirely magical damage, so a single Pipe of Insight on the enemy team dramatically reduces the impact of your two biggest damage dealers. The bigger problem is their lack of reliable lockdown. Skywrath Mage can silence a target with Ancient Seal, but that opponent can still walk away or get pushed out of his Mystic Flare. Timbersaw offers a slow with his Chakram, but no hard stun to hold anyone in place for their combined damage.

This weakness becomes clear in mid-game ganks. Skywrath will often use his entire combo on a target, only for them to survive and simply walk away before Timbersaw can finish the job. Fights become a frustrating cycle of bringing an enemy low without being able to secure the kill. Later on, enemy cores with a Black King Bar can ignore both heroes completely. Timbersaw is left trying to create chaos that his backline can't capitalize on, while Skywrath Mage struggles to find a single vulnerable target he can actually burst down on his own.
