Slardar + Witch Doctor

Why this works

Landing a good stun chain lets Witch Doctor set up a full Death Ward. Slardar's Corrosive Haze then makes that physical damage really sting, since the target's armor is gone. This can turn a standard gank into a near-guaranteed kill. Even a simple Slithereen Crush provides enough time for Paralyzing Cask to land and bounce, holding enemies down for the follow-up. It's a straightforward combination of lockdown and physical amplification that comes online fairly early and doesn't require complex coordination.

The main plan is for Slardar to find an opening with Blink Dagger, setting up the kill for Witch Doctor's ultimate. This works well for pickoffs and smaller skirmishes, but the reliance on a channeled ultimate is a clear weakness. Smart opponents will save a stun for the Witch Doctor or use items to reposition his target. Because the combo requires both heroes to commit their biggest spells, a single Force Staff or Glimmer Cape can cause the whole play to fall apart, leaving Slardar exposed and his partner's ultimate wasted.
