Slark + Winter Wyvern

Why this works

Setting up a gank with Winter's Curse gives Slark a great opportunity. While the main target is disabled and immune to damage, their ally is forced to attack them, creating a stationary, distracted victim for Slark to Pounce on and build Essence Shift stacks. It's a very safe way for him to get started in a fight. Later on, if Slark overextends after his Shadow Dance, Winter Wyvern can save him with Cold Embrace. The physical immunity gives him time to regenerate and re-engage, and if he needs to keep attacking, Slark can simply use Dark Pact to remove the disarming effect of the heal.

This pairing relies on good coordination to be effective. Slark wants to find and burst a specific hero, but a poorly aimed Winter's Curse can make that primary target immune, accidentally saving them. The duo finds its footing in the mid-game, where Wyvern’s control and defensive spells allow Slark to play far more aggressively than he normally could. He can dive deep knowing he has a powerful save ready, turning risky plays into successful pickoffs that snowball the game.
