Snapfire + Void Spirit

Why this works

Setting up for Mortimer Kisses is the main idea here. Void Spirit can jump in with Astral Step, land an Aether Remnant to pull a target, and create a perfect window for Snapfire to unload her ultimate. A follow-up stun from Firesnap Cookie can keep the enemy locked down for the full duration. The combo works on paper, giving the pair a way to burst down a single isolated hero. However, since Void Spirit is already so mobile and self-sufficient, he gets less value from a repositioning Firesnap Cookie than a slower, more committed melee hero would.

In practice, both heroes often have independent goals. Void Spirit is constantly looking for pickoffs and skirmishes all over the map, using his mobility to play on his own terms. Snapfire might be supporting a different lane, defending a tower, or farming a key item. While they can certainly coordinate for a gank if they happen to be in the same area, their overall game plans don't always overlap. They function well as two separate, flexible heroes who happen to be on the same team, rather than a dedicated partnership that needs to stick together.
