Why this works

Setting up a good Death Ward is often the biggest challenge for Witch Doctor, and Snapfire provides a direct solution. A well-timed Firesnap Cookie can launch Witch Doctor over cliffs or right on top of a priority target, delivering a stun on arrival. This guarantees he gets in range to land Paralyzing Cask and Maledict, locking down a target for Snapfire's own damage spells. The initial stun from the Cookie is what makes the follow-up so much more reliable, creating a small window where enemies can't easily react.

Throughout a match, this duo wants to find pickoffs using this initiation. The play is strongest when enemies are out of position or don't have vision of Snapfire getting ready to launch her partner. A smart opponent will anticipate this, however. They can spread out to avoid a multi-hero stun and save an instant disable for Witch Doctor the moment he lands. Since the play can be predictable and puts Witch Doctor in a potentially dangerous spot, its success isn't guaranteed, but it gives the pair a consistent way to start a fight on their terms.
