Sniper + Venomancer

Why this works

Facing both these heroes feels oppressive, as Venomancer’s slows create a massive area where Sniper can freely take shots. The combination of persistent damage-over-time and long-range physical attacks can bully opponents out of a lane or force them off an objective. The issue is that this pressure rarely leads to a secure kill. Venomancer lacks a hard stun, so while slows from Venomous Gale are annoying, they don't stop an enemy from using a mobility spell or item to close the gap. This leaves Sniper without the instant peel he often needs to survive being jumped.

In mid-game teamfights, this flaw becomes the focus. An enemy core can often decide to ignore the poison and charge directly at Sniper, knowing Venomancer can’t lock them down. Even with Poison Nova weakening the entire enemy team, the priority target is clear and relatively easy to reach. This forces the Sniper to play from extreme distances, sometimes hurting his own impact, or to rely entirely on his own defensive items. The pair offers a lot of sustained damage but doesn't have the control needed to guarantee that damage can be applied safely.
