Spectre + Tiny

Why this works

Having both these heroes on a team creates a fundamental conflict in timing and pace. Tiny hits a massive power spike in the mid-game and wants to group up, force fights, and break the high ground with his burst damage. He's an accelerator. Spectre, on the other hand, is one of the slowest-starting carries in the game. She needs a quiet map and lots of space to farm the core items that allow her to contribute. This means one hero wants to hit the gas pedal while the other is begging the team to stall, leaving you without a unified strategy.

This tension usually comes to a head after the laning stage. The enemy team will see that Tiny is ready to fight but his carry isn't. They can force the issue, taking objectives or picking off supports while Spectre is stuck farming a distant lane. Spectre is then left with a bad choice: use Haunt to join a fight she isn't ready for and risk dying, or keep farming while her team loses map control. For this lineup to work, the Tiny player often has to sacrifice their own ideal game to create space, playing against their hero's strengths.
