Techies + Winter Wyvern

Why this works

Laying a trap with Winter's Curse can be tricky. While it locks a key target down, that hero becomes immune to damage from Techies and the rest of your team. This means you can't use it to set up a Blast Off or a Sticky Bomb kill on that specific enemy. Instead, the play is to have Winter Wyvern catch someone near a pre-existing minefield, forcing their own allies to walk them through the danger zone. It's a conditional setup that relies more on enemy positioning and panic than a direct combination of spells, so the results can be inconsistent.

Beyond that one big ultimate, the heroes mostly operate on their own. Techies focuses on controlling areas with mines and providing burst, while Winter Wyvern offers slows and defensive saves. A good Cold Embrace can certainly keep Techies alive long enough to plant another mine or get spells off cooldown, and Arctic Burn's slow can help an enemy linger in a bad spot. These are generally useful tools, but they don't create a powerful offensive game plan together. The pair works best when reacting to the enemy's aggression, but can feel disjointed when trying to force kills on their own.
