Terrorblade + Zeus

Why this works

Picking a global nuke to finish off Sunder targets sounds like a plan, but the styles of these two heroes rarely line up. Terrorblade’s entire game revolves around hitting a specific timing with Metamorphosis and illusions to melt objectives. He wants short, decisive fights where he can end the game. Zeus, on the other hand, excels in long, drawn-out engagements, constantly chipping away at the enemy team’s health from a safe distance. Their ideal fight lengths and power curves are opposites, meaning one of them is usually fighting on the other’s uncomfortable terms.

This leaves the draft with some significant holes. As Terrorblade pushes a lane, Zeus can help clear waves and poke defenders, but he offers no stuns or saves if TB gets initiated on. Likewise, Terrorblade provides no setup to help Zeus land his spells on key targets. The two heroes end up playing their own separate games on the same map. If the enemy lineup can punish this lack of cohesion by isolating one of them, the fight is often lost before it even begins. Success relies heavily on the other three heroes to provide the control and team play that this pair lacks.
