Tidehunter + Void Spirit

Why this works

Setting up for Void Spirit is the core of his game plan, and Tidehunter provides one of the best platforms for it. A good Ravage creates a massive, clean window for Void Spirit to land his entire spell rotation without risk. He can place Aether Remnant and Dissimilate on top of multiple heroes who can’t move, guaranteeing a huge amount of damage and follow-up control. Gush’s armor reduction also lets Void Spirit’s physical attacks hit harder after he unloads his spells, making him a threat even after the initial burst.

This pairing really comes online in the mid-game. Once Tidehunter has his Blink Dagger, any fight he starts can be won by Void Spirit zipping in to clean up. This forces opponents to play spread out to minimize Ravage’s impact, which can leave them vulnerable to pick-offs from the highly mobile spirit. The enemy team has to choose between focusing the tanky Tidehunter or trying to catch the slippery Void Spirit before he can follow up on the initiation, creating a dilemma that lets your team dictate the terms of engagement.
