Tiny + Winter Wyvern

Why this works

Saving an ally with Cold Embrace also makes them immune to physical damage, which can completely negate Tiny's contribution if he is trying to follow up. The same problem happens with Winter Wyvern's ultimate. A good Winter's Curse locks down a key enemy, but that same enemy becomes immune to all damage from Tiny and his allies for the duration. This means Tiny's entire burst combo and heavy right-clicks are nullified on the most important target in a fight. The core functions of these two heroes actively work against one another.

This fundamental clash in design creates disjointed teamfights. Tiny's game plan revolves around finding a target, jumping in with his combo, and bursting them down quickly. Winter Wyvern wants to play from a distance, extending fights and repositioning enemies with her spells. This leads to situations where Tiny can't commit because he risks getting his damage blocked by a friendly save, or where Wyvern's control spells end up saving the enemy from Tiny's initiation. The team is forced to play around two different, conflicting ideas of how a fight should go.
