Tiny + Witch Doctor

Why this works

Getting caught by this duo feels messy but often survivable. The core problem is that Tiny’s combo actively works against Witch Doctor’s goals. Avalanche into Toss is all about displacing a target, throwing them back into your team or isolating them. But Witch Doctor needs that same target to stay completely still. A single enemy stunned for Death Ward can be ‘saved’ by a Toss that moves them out of the ultimate’s range. Maledict’s damage amplification is also less effective when the target is suddenly flying through the air, potentially out of range of follow-up attacks.

This disconnect becomes more apparent in mid-game teamfights. For the pairing to work, Tiny has to fundamentally change his playstyle, avoiding his signature Toss or using it only to initiate from far away. This forces the Witch Doctor to hold his ultimate, waiting for a perfect moment that rarely comes against a coordinated team. Opponents can often withstand the initial disruption from Tiny, knowing the follow-up from a high-impact ultimate like Death Ward will be delayed or misplaced, allowing them to reset and counter-attack.
