Treant Protector + Witch Doctor

Why this works

Setting up the perfect teamfight can feel straightforward. Treant Protector finds an opening and locks multiple enemies down with Overgrowth, giving Witch Doctor an ideal window to cast Maledict and a full-duration Death Ward. When this combination lands, it can wipe a team. The problem is that both heroes are pinning their hopes on these long-cooldown ultimates. Outside of that single moment, their ability to lock down a target is much weaker, as Witch Doctor's stun is unreliable and Treant lacks other hard disables.

This makes their game plan very high-commitment. They might have a decent lane, but their mid-game teamfights hinge entirely on executing that big combo. Opponents know this and will prioritize saving stuns to interrupt Death Ward or buying items to survive the initial root. A single misplaced ultimate or a well-timed defensive save from the enemy can cause the entire fight to collapse. While Treant's Living Armor provides some global stability, the duo's success often feels dependent on that one perfect fight going their way.
