Tusk + Warlock

Why this works

Setting up a kill with Tusk often involves a fast, decisive jump on a single hero. Warlock, however, excels at slower, wider teamfights. His spells like Fatal Bonds reward spreading damage across multiple enemies, which is the opposite of Tusk’s concentrated burst. While Snowball can bring an ally along for the ride, a squishy hero like Warlock is rarely the ideal passenger for a frontline initiation. He would much rather stay in the back and find the right moment to cast his spells from safety, leaving Tusk to start fights on his own.

This clash in tempo means the team can feel pulled in two directions. Tusk will be looking for aggressive pickoffs across the map, but Warlock's contribution to these small skirmishes is limited without committing his long-cooldown ultimate. Conversely, when Warlock wants to group for a big teamfight around Chaotic Offering, Tusk’s skillset is less about sustained AoE brawling and more about deleting a key target at the start. They don't actively work against each other, but the lack of natural chemistry means their game plans often fail to overlap effectively.
