Ursa + Winter Wyvern

Why this works

Teamfights can feel awkward with this pair. Ursa’s entire game revolves around isolating a single hero and bursting them down with Fury Swipes. Winter Wyvern’s ultimate, Winter's Curse, also isolates a hero, but it makes that target immune to damage from Ursa and his team. This core conflict means a well-placed Curse can completely deny Ursa's kill attempt, forcing him to switch targets and lose his momentum. Even a defensive Cold Embrace, while great for saving a diving Ursa from physical damage, also stops him from attacking. This can interrupt his Overpower sequence at the worst possible moment, letting a target get away.

The success of this duo depends heavily on coordination. If Winter Wyvern can Curse a secondary support while Ursa goes on his primary target, it can work, but that requires good communication. In the lane, Wyvern provides a nice slow with Arctic Burn to help Ursa stay on top of an enemy, but the lack of a hard stun makes it difficult to secure kills against cautious opponents. Ultimately, their signature abilities can actively work against each other in chaotic fights, often making their combined impact feel disjointed and less effective than when they are paired with other heroes.
