Ursa + Zeus

Why this works

Picking these two heroes together is a bet on raw damage over lockdown. Zeus can provide great vision with Lightning Bolt to find a gank target for Ursa, or use Thundergod's Wrath to set the stage for a fight. The main issue is that once Ursa jumps in, the pair offers very little to hold a target in place. Ursa's slow from Earthshock is their only form of reliable crowd control, which is often not enough against heroes with mobility spells or a simple Force Staff. The success of any gank attempt relies on their combined burst being faster than the enemy's escape plan.

This means early kills can be found on lone, slow targets, but the game gets much harder as enemies acquire defensive items and start moving as a team. Ursa wants to dive onto a single hero and stay on them, while Zeus has to position safely in the backline. If their initial target gets away or is saved by an ally, the fight can fall apart quickly. Ursa gets kited after his initial burst, and Zeus's damage from afar isn't always enough to finish the job, leaving both heroes in awkward and vulnerable positions.
