Venomancer + Winter Wyvern

Why this works

Setting up a kill with Winter's Curse relies on allies bursting the target with focused, often physical, damage. Venomancer provides the opposite: his damage is magical, spread out, and takes time to work. Casting Poison Nova during a Curse is often wasteful, as the initial target is usually dead from their own team's attacks before the poison matters. Similarly, Winter Wyvern using Cold Embrace on an ally stops them from attacking, which can disrupt the crucial follow-up on a target Venomancer has slowed and poisoned. Their main tools for teamfighting simply don't align.

This results in a slow, awkward game plan. Fights get messy and drawn out, but not in a way that benefits your team. Winter Wyvern might land a perfect ultimate, but the lack of burst follow-up from Venomancer lets the enemy reset or even turn the fight. You end up controlling space with Plague Wards and slows but struggle to convert that into kills or objectives. The enemy team feels less threatened by your initiations and can often weather the storm of poison, knowing there isn't a sharp finish coming after the lockdown.
