Drifter wants a partner who can convert an early lead into map control, and Seven fits that plan cleanly. Drifter creates the openings and forces enemies out of position, then Seven follows up with area pressure that punishes anyone caught grouped or slow to reset. The pairing works because Drifter's aggression buys the space and tempo Seven needs to farm safely and reach the item timings where his teamfight presence takes over. In return, Drifter gets a teammate who closes out the fights he starts.
