Drifter feasts on squishier lane opponents like Sinclair, Mina, and Venator who want to sit back and control space from range. Push in early and their positioning falls apart before their items come online. The problem shows up against Seven, Victor, and Graves, who all bring sustained pressure and better ways to punish an overextension. Once those three stabilize their lane and start hitting item timings, Drifter's early tempo means less and less, and the fights swing away from you. Draft tip: pick Drifter into passive, range-dependent lineups; avoid it when the enemy has the raw damage and lane staying power of Seven or Graves.
