Winning a Duel against an Abaddon on the enemy team comes down to timing and target selection. Abaddon can make a Duel target deceptively durable with Aphotic Shield, and if he's close enough, his ultimate Borrowed Time can turn a gank around by healing his entire team. If Legion Commander makes the mistake of Dueling Abaddon himself, she will almost certainly lose the exchange. However, Duel provides a long, reliable lockdown. With enough burst damage from Legion and her allies, a target can easily die before Abaddon’s saves have a chance to matter.
