Abaddon vs Lina

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst a target down is Lina's entire game plan, but Abaddon has the perfect tools to disrupt it. A well-timed Aphotic Shield instantly removes the Light Strike Array stun from an ally, allowing them to survive the follow-up Laguna Blade. This forces Lina to either find a different target or wait for the shield to be on cooldown, which slows down her aggression. Furthermore, Abaddon himself is an extremely difficult target to kill because Borrowed Time will almost always trigger before her full magic combo can finish him off, wasting her most important cooldowns.

This interaction creates a standoff throughout the game. Lina often has to pivot from trying to one-shot heroes to using her superior farming speed and Fiery Soul to become a physical damage dealer instead, a threat Abaddon is less equipped to handle. The matchup becomes a game of positioning and cooldown management. If Abaddon can consistently shield the correct target, he neutralizes much of Lina's kill potential. If Lina can bait out his saves or catch someone isolated, she can still secure the kills her team needs to get ahead.
